The prevailing circumstances in Karachi have proved that our rulers and their favorites have no love for the city and its people. They
blackmail people in the name of Islam, democracy, enforcing the rule of law, introducing land reforms, turning the city into a livable
city, bringing transparent and good governance  for  the people, making city the economic hub of Pakistan, weeding out corruption,
lowering prices to a reasonable level, providing job opportunities on merit, but these slogans have proved to be mere tactics to be fool the
people. In fact, the rulers come to power turn by turn to plunder national wealth, which they transfer to foreign banks and once they
are ousted from power, they move to foreign countries along with their families where they once again make preparations for returning to
power using the money they have in foreign banks. The posting of a corrupt MD in KWSB was a continuation of the same agenda. No one can answer why an incompetent, non-technical and a junior officer was posted to such an important position of the city department. Recently LG Minister sacked him for not attending his telephone calls but not on the charges of ruining the whole department. The irreparable damage done to the department  is a serious crime to the people of this city. He should have been removed in the first instance when KWSB workers start getting their salaries after 15 of every  month but unfortunately he has been made scapegoat of all the ill doings of the past and his cronies who are still in the department, waiting for another incompetent MD appointed purely on his political affiliation. If government is interested in serving the
people, root cause of this corruption shall be eliminated by appointing honest and competent officers on such critical post through a Selection Board, as the practice has been followed in good organizations.
