PESHAWAR: Corp Commander Peshawar, Asif Yasin said on Wednesday that the Army is not involved in any kind of human rights violation in the Malakand region.

Commander Asif said that forces will remain in the tribal areas until order is completely restored and the people can live peacefully in the region.

Speaking to the media before attending a conference on human rights arranged for the national army officers, Comander Asif said that after militants are facing defeat in the tribal areas and are now trying to spread fear by attacking the settled areas.

He also said that the situation in the tribal region is under control and militants are fleeing the area. – Dawn News
