NICL chief among three directors declared absconders

LAHORE: A Lahore court declared proclaimed absconder, the chairman of National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) Ayaz Khan Niazi and two other directors and raids are being conducted to arrest them, Geo News reported Thursday. According to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), an FIA team conducted raids in Defence phase-V and Karachi area of Khayaban-e-Badban for Ayaz Niazi; however, he could not be arrested. Member of the board of directors of NICL Qasim Amin Dada and Javed Syed were also declared proclaimed absconders in the NICL scam, which the Supreme Court (SC) assigned to the FIA for investigations.
